Crandall Park is home to the largest trail network in Tolland with over 13 miles of trails! All of Crandall Park's trails are in the forest and range from easy to moderate. An accessible paved path travels through the forest among many of the park's facilities, such as the playground, restroom building, swimming and kayaking area on Cider Mill Pond, and picnic pavilion, and around recreational facilities such as the volleyball court and softball field. The paved trail also leads to a wildlife viewing platform over a pond, and to the Tolland Youth Garden. Benches are plentiful throughout the paved trail and facility areas.
Branching off from the paved trail is a network of moderate dirt trails through the forest, with colored blazes to help navigate the system. This quieter area is well suited to wildlife and bird watching.
There are several parking areas off of Cider Mill Road east of the trail network, along with one on Old Post Road at the north end.
