Mt. Hope Park contains 1,300 feet of frontage along the Mt. Hope River. The park is part of an old riverside farm dating back to the late 1700s. The only farming activity that remains is a hay crop in the south field, which is cut by a local farmer each summer. Please stay off the agricultural fields and only use marked foot paths.
View the stone walls, dairy barn remnants, and old nursery area-- remnants of the agricultural history of the property-- while enjoying diverse woodlands and wetlands, a glacial esker, and bedrock outcrop. Be sure to keep an eye out for beavers near the southern portion of the pond.
