This library is one of the world's largest libraries devoted entirely to rare books and manuscripts and is Yale's repository for literary archives, early manuscripts, and rare books. The robust collections are used to created new scholarship by researchers from around the world. It contains a Gutenberg Bible, original Audubon bird prints, and other changing exhibits. Unusual 1963 building features translucent marble "windows" and sunken sculpture garden.
