This property contains "Golden Shadows", a Georgian Colonial Revival-style residence that was formerly owned by Walter and Evelyn Langer, also known as Baron and Lady Langer or von Langendorff. The Langers were owners of a highly successful American perfume business who moved to the property in 1943 and completed construction in 1959.
Additionally, the Senior Center is located on the northern portion of the lot, accessible from Imperial Avenue. It was constructed in 2003.
Take exit 18 and head north on Sherwood Island Connector. Take a left on Post Road East, then turn left onto Compo Road South. The entrance is about 500 feet on the right and is a steep driveway. Roadside parking only.
