Description

The trailhead at Bell Cedar Swamp is tucked between two private properties. Immediately upon entering through a silver gate is a view of a meadow thicket which is excellent for birdwatching.

The trail continues to a loop that leads into dense forests with various types of animals (squirrels, rabbits, deer, etc.). This portion of the trail offers views of an old cemetery that sits in a large field. The trail totals approximately 1.2 miles and has an elevation change of 100 feet.

The trailhead is located in North Stonington and off of Boombridge Road (approximately 51 Boombridge Road).

From I-95 North

Go on I-95 North and take exit 93 for CT-2 toward CT-49/North Stonington/Pawcatuck. Follow CT-2 West and then CT-184 East to Stillman Road.
