Burying Hill Beach is a town-owned beach that offers a variety of aquatic and shore-related recreational opportunities in addition to a sandy beach front with amenities including changing rooms, grills, benches, and facilities.
Burying Hill Beach offers a unique look at a thriving tidal wetland ecosystem. The area along New Creek is teeming with fiddler crabs and the nursery-sized fish that provide a succulent repast for egrets, herons, and other wading shorebirds that summer in Westport.
The area is a popular sport fishing location, including snapper blues, striped bass, and winter flounder.
