Converse Brook Preserve is an 80-acre nature preserve in Greenwich featuring a restored meadow, upland forest, and a network of streams and wetlands with vernal pools. Open to the public, it offers approximately 2.5 miles of trails in a network known as the David Ogilvy Memorial Trails. The main Orange Trail loop (1.5 miles) begins at the parking area and winds through six distinct ecological communities, including beech-maple mesic forest, red maple swamp, and rocky headwater streams. The Lilac Trail, a 0.5-mile loop in the northern section, connects back to the Orange Trail, with additional spur trails branching throughout the preserve.
Greenwich Land Trust conserves open space, connects the community with the natural world, and inspires the next generation of conservationists.
