Description

CAUTION: The Peach Trail does NOT cross Hopkins Road as it appears on the trail map. The Google Maps imagery is not accurate in this case. Pay close attention and follow the peach blazes.

The White Trail heads southwest from the western parking lot, along a mountain laurel patch descending to Kimball Brook. After crossing Kimball Brook over a bridge, it winds east along the banks of the brook with several small babbling water cascades. At the next bridge over Kimball Brook, hikers can connect to the Peach Trail, or cross the bridge and loop back to the parking area on the White Trail.

Continuing east, the Peach Trail travels through a field of rocks to the third and fourth bridge crossings. The trail continues up a steep embankment going north to Hopkins Road and the eastern parking area. Farther east down Hopkins Road, users can access to the Connecticut Forest & Park Association's blue-blazed Shenipsit Trail
