Description

The trail is best walked as a loop beginning on Ivory Street following the trail markers along the Falls River and returning along Main Street to Ivory Street. The route is well marked with circular red metal markers. Along the route hikers will cross seven bridges and pass eight signs describing the history and geography of Ivoryton. Three restaurants, a picturesque library with two massive elephant tusks, and the Ivoryton playhouse will be encountered along Main Street as you return to your starting point.

Trailhead Information

Parking for the trail head is a gravel parking lot located on the west side of Ivory Street in Ivoryton, CT. It is marked by a gray and white welcome sign, a historical marker and trail guide dispenser. Ivory Street is less than a quarter mile long connecting Comstock Avenue to Main Street in the vicinity of the Ivoryton Green.
