Located in Ridgefield, CT, Seth Low Pierrepont State Park is a magnificent find. Take the White Trail for easy family fun alongside the Pierrepont Pond for a refreshing hike. Or, take the other trails as they rise in elevation, taking you towards rock ledges that overlook the park and beyond. Take advantage of the car-top boating opportunities as well, and enjoy some time on the water. You'll be taking in the gorgeous sights of nature this park has to offer throughout the seasons.
This park is managed as a natural area and has minimal facility development.
The park is open from 8 am to sunset.
Pets on a leash are permitted.
This park is a designated "walk-in" facility. Parking is available at the entrance
Seth Low Pierrepont State Park Reserve was a gift to the Connecticut State Park and Forest Commission from Seth Low Pierrepont upon his death in 1956. Mr. Pierrepont was a millionaire and ex-diplomat who served as a United States official in Lisbon, Rome, Paris, Santiago, and Chile. He also worked as chief of the American Division of the State Department. Mr. Pierrepont purchased the estate from the Scott family in the early 1930s.

From I-84: take Exit 3 (Route 7 Exit). Go south on Route 7, bear right onto Route 35 south. Follow Route 35 to Route 116 north (see below).
From Ridgefield: go north onto Route 116 for 2.2 miles, then turn right onto Barlow Mountain Road, which brings you right into Seth Low Pierrepont State Park Reserve.
