Description

The Nick Parisot Trail unites multiple Wilton Land Trust parcels, most notably Slaughter Fields, and connects to Wilton Town Forest.

The trail starts at a trail kiosk on Tito Lane, at a grassy opening with an informational kiosk. It then goes into the forest, across Whipstick Road, and into Slaughter Fields.

Slaughter Fields is made up of two adjoining meadows. From the Nick Parisot Memorial Trail, hikers can access a scenic vista that showcases the town’s beauty. Features of the meadow include vibrant wildflowers in spring and summer meadow, and views of rolling hills. Going slightly uphill from the meadow, there is a short forested section with visible stone walls, telling the story of Wilton's past. The trail then leads to quiet Nod Hill Pond.

East of the pond, the Nick Parisot Trail follows alongside Pipers Hill Road (watch for vehicles!) until it joins with Wilton Town Forest's Blue Trail.
