These trails can be accessed from Middle Quarter Road at the base, or Old Sherman Hill at the top of the trail. There is a main trail down the middle of the preserve, with additional trails off to the sides. There is a reservoir and an active stream.
This preserve has remnants of historic buildings and copper mines. The main trail is on a slight incline, but a relatively easy walk. There are also Mountain Bike trails marked and an orienteering course on site. The kiosk at the top of the trail, accessed from Old Sherman Hill Road, has information on both.
