Description

Pomfret Forest was logged in 2015 and is now an early successional forest. Pomfret Forest is part of a wildlife corridor made up of more than 2,000 acres of open space. There are two inland wetlands and a pond on the property which can be accessed from several points along the trails.

The trails at Pomfret Forest are meticulously maintained for mountain biking, have lots of optional features, and cater to beginner and advanced riders alike. Find detailed descriptions of the trails and features on TrailForks.

Two trails allow horseback riding - NEFF North and Horse Trail. Hiking is welcome on all trails.

The property was once part of the Gwyn Careg Inn estate. The old inground pool is a reminder of the ornate landscape of years past.
