Stretching across eastern Connecticut from Thompson to East Hampton, the Air Line State Park Trail is a linear trail which dates from the railway built in the 1870s. Today the trail draws walkers, hikers, cyclists, and horseback riders from across the state for the views, the relaxation and the solitude.
Woodland trails with many outcroppings of ledge, boulder fields, glacial erratics and stone walls as well as the Orange Trail, which is an easy, short walk alongside a stream and wetlands.
Take a hike along the blazed trails of the Allanach-Wolf Woodlands and take in the fresh air. Be greeted by Lake Marie from the entrance, and follow the Ballymahack Brook to the end of the trail.
